Tweek the Frequency

There’s a whole lot of re-calibrating going on through the music that Thom Yorke‘s new Super Group Atoms For Peace is putting out there. Members of his band include my son Joey, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Nigel Godrich (Radiohead producer) and percussionist Mauro Refosco. Check out the video of Thom’s solo at Roseland Ballroom in NYC last Monday night.

Come on Donna. It’s OK to plug Joey and the band now that they have a name. They will be at the 2010 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Sunday April 18th. This is a three day event, April 16, 16, and 18th at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California.

Joey Waronker is similar to Julian Lennon, in that Julian talked about how he could never match his father (john Lennon,) success. I suspect that Joey is in the same kind of situation, and needs to find his zone of purpose. – I know that most fans of the Beatles know of Julian efforts to be the son of john, and when Paul McCartney does his live concerts, fans relish in the past, and re-live their youth with McCartney concerts. – This is why Donna Loren could have a real come back tour, and re-living the past, and have a film career on television. Half of genius is the act of doing it, and the fans of Donna of the future that never was, could come back, and do the past that is now.
